Maintenance

Down duvets and pillows should be shaken gently and aired daily to get rid of overnight moisture more quickly. With fresh air, duvets and pillows quickly regain their spring and characteristics. The bedroom should also be aired to maintain a good humidity level and thereby contribute to a good indoor environment. Use protective pillowcases and duvet covers. Knocking, vacuuming or exposing duvets/pillows to direct sunlight will affect the high thread count fabric. The weave and fibre structure may be damaged resulting in down leakage or reduced moisture management. Down duvets and pillows can be gently washed at up to 60 degrees. Use 1/3 of the normal amount of Milo, or another detergent without enzymes and bleach. Drying can be done in the tumble dryer at a maximum of 60 degrees. Allow ample time in the tumble dryer. Stop the drying process at regular intervals to turn and shake the duvet or pillow. This is important in order to achieve a more even drying process and to avoid down and feathers clumping together and preventing drying.
