Material
Vacuum furniture regularly. Dust that remains wears on fabric fibres and shortens its lifespan. Wipe the furniture with a clean white cloth and lukewarm water from time to time. Dry clean. Always inform the dry cleaners of the composition of the fabric.
Linen fabrics without dyes (Natural linen) have low light fastness. Pure linen usually achieves pilling 3, which is below the requirement for hard use. It is the natural nature of the linen fibre that does this. The fibres can rise and a natural fuzz can appear.
Don't rub too much as the fibres can be raised. Water marks may appear if the fabric gets wet. Remove stains immediately. Remove any solids immediately with a spoon or similar. If possible, put towels between the fabric and the filling to prevent it from getting wet. Absorb the moisture with a clean cloth or kitchen paper without colour. Do not rub, just press. When you have removed as much as possible, start on the stain itself. Work from the outer edge and inwards so that the stain does not spread. Always test the stain remover/the selected method in an invisible area. Avoid using normal household detergents. Always wipe with a cloth wrung out in clean water and wipe away excess liquid with dry towels.
